Sonnex Surveying is an independent firm of chartered building surveyors regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, we offer a range of residential and commercial surveying services in Kent, London and the South-East counties.

The practice is headed by Richard Sonnex BSc Hons MRICS, Managing Director. Richard started in the property world at Sevenoaks District Council working in project development and then as a surveyor. He later joined Vanns & Jones Chartered Building Surveyors, a well-established surveying practice in Sevenoaks, followed by a move to Chesterton Chartered Surveyors where he became Associate Director.

In 2010, Richard established Sonnex Surveying, Chartered Building Surveyors and Construction Consultants.

Sonnex Surveying conduct residential survey work incorporating full building surveys, and homebuyers reports. Sonnex Surveying are also specialists in listed buildings with a proven track record in maintaining and obtaining planning and listed building permission for altering, converting and extending listed buildings.

Sonnex Surveying specialise in bespoke designed extensions, new build designs, project management and contract administration through to completion of the project. Other services include party wall matters, boundary disputes, insurance re-build valuations, leasehold schedules of conditions and dilapidations claims.
